Our client wanted to transform their second living room into a warm, inviting TV room that felt stylish & connected to the rest of their property. The space needed to incorporate a fire & media storage, comfortable seating for at least 4 adults, and a cosy yet practical layout.
We reconfigured the room layout to enhance flow & functionality, & collaborated on a bespoke media unit design with an integrated fire – creating a striking focal point. The refresh included new wall paint, carpet, lighting, seating, & both coffee & side tables. We chose a calming, tonal colour palette focusing on textures, & sourced furnishing & accessories that brought softness, warmth & style, all while echoing the mid-century aesthetic seen throughout the rest of the property.

We lived in California for several years where the staging of homes is not unusual, so when a business associate of ours recommended Emma at Coastal Home Styling to help show our rental property for its upcoming sale, we thought it would be a positive step forward. The property, a period cottage by the sea, was lovely on the outside but a blank slate on the inside.
